The Evans Prairie Home became a reality due to the tireless efforts of members of the Evans family, many of whom still live and work in the Franklin, Hardin, and Wright county areas of Iowa. The dedication of the home, which was moved to its present location north of the Quas-
dorf Museum from its original location in Franklin County, was held at the 2005 Dows Corn Days. Pictured below are scenes from the dedication and some of the items in the home, both original and reconstructed. Note the paint recipe, written on the wall as well as being reproduced on the paper.
